Cotham Road
At Cotham Road, we set out to reimagine the workplace as a refined, human centred environment defined by clarity, warmth and material restraint. We began by establishing a calm architectural backdrop with dark ceilings, exposed services and full height glazing to draw natural light deep into the space while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
At the heart of the plan, we introduced a sculptural tiered platform to function as both an informal meeting zone and a place for spontaneous gathering. Its carpeted treads and upholstered elements bring softness and domesticity, offering a counterpoint to the cleaner, more structured workstation areas. This stepped piece also subtly organises circulation, acting like a crafted joinery element within the open plan.
Materiality was approached with deliberate simplicity. Stone surfaces in the communal dining area provide a sense of permanence, while greenery and upholstery soften the space and add human scale. Our glazed meeting rooms express transparency and professionalism, using refined furniture and linear lighting to create composed, client focused settings.
Throughout the project, we aimed to balance openness with function, creating spaces for collaboration, focus and retreat. The result is a workplace that feels contemporary yet inviting, quietly confident and unified through a warm and cohesive interior identity.
