Bellroy
For Bellroy HQ, we set out to transform a heritage warehouse in Fitzroy into a workplace that reflects both the industrial character of the original building and the brand’s contemporary, values driven identity. We began by peeling back layers to reveal brickwork, steel trusses and original timber elements, allowing the building’s history to shape the atmosphere while introducing a clear, modern workplace language.
Our planning centred on creating a series of micro zones that support different modes of working. The large, loft like volume is divided into intuitive areas for collaboration, social connection, focused work and quieter retreat. Within this, we introduced a series of private rooms designed specifically for online meetings or moments of deep concentration. These spaces provide acoustic separation and choice, ensuring people can shift seamlessly between open and enclosed environments.
Materiality and transparency inform the journey: exposed services painted black, steel ductwork left visible, large glazing and glass-lined meeting rooms provide daylight and visual connection. The outcome is a workspace that feels authentic and purposeful, one that is industrial and raw yet crafted and warm, aligned with Bellroy’s industrial designidentity and our ambition to design workplaces that support productivity, culture and wellbeing.
